Alicia, a Piano and Music Theory Teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience. Classically Trained Pianist, Piano Accompanist & Keyboardist.

Since the young age of 4, Alicia was always passionate in performing arts. Through her education journey, she picked up Piano, Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance & Figure Skating. Through the years of training, she participated in many performances and has attained credentials from The Associate Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), and the Ice Skating Institute (ISI).

In 2015, Alicia attained DipABRSM- Diploma in Music Performance Piano by The Associate Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). She is also AMIS certified by Ministry of Education (MOE). Other certifications she has achieved include ABRSM Grade 8 Piano and ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory. She has also attained the Piano Pedagogy Certification from Steinway Gallery.

Teacher Alicia believes in teaching with a heart. Credentials, experiences and knowledge are definitely important, however building a good rapport, and understanding each and every one of her students helps her bring out the best in their musical journey.

As a former Senior Music Teacher in a Music School located in the East of Singapore. Alicia was given the opportunity to assist in creating & facilitating various music programmes. She also helped in organising many school events & recitals. Alicia has also taught music curriculums in several government schools including East View Secondary, Pei Tong Secondary and APSN Chaoyang school. She has also performed with a band as a keyboardist. Under her mentor’s guidance, she was inspired to positively impact lives & impart values through music teaching.

Alicia constantly attends workshops & seminars to upgrade herself, some of which includes- “Secrets to achieving Distinction for ABRSM Exams” by Steinway Gallery, “Music Examinations Effective Preparation” by Dr. Mark Tanner ABRSM Examiner and Mary Ann Tear Trinity College London Senior Examiner and “Rockschool Exam Workshop” by Stuart Slater Rockschool Syllabus Advisor & Examiner.
